Learn About ABC’s Freesia School in India
Freesia, open March 2, 2013, is a preschool that provides quality English education to 85+ three to five year old students that live in the Chinnappa Garden slum. Each student is given educational materials and 2 nutritious meals 6 days a week, including periodic medical check ups, all free of charge. The children are taken on excursions so they can experience restaurants, zoo, shopping centers and parks for the first time.

How is this new school project funded?
The school is operated by Building Blocks India and the infrastructure was funded through a joint effort between The AlphaBet Club, Rotary Club Amsterdam International and Wilde Ganzen Charity. Rotary Club AI and AlphaBet Club Charity hosted a Gala Formal Dinner Event called “Bangalorious Night” in October 2012 with funds going to this school launch. Wilde Ganzen Charity have partially matched funds for infrastructure costs for project. We are all happy to be able to fund Opening of New School (Approx 30,000 Euros) and a new school bus (Approx 11,000 Euros). AlphaBet Club is adding additional funds from ABC Events in Amsterdam to cover first 6 months of operating costs (Approx 15,000 Euros). Enjoy the photos from our launch celebration…
We are looking for funding partners for the school’s monthly operating costs after first 6 months. If you know any organization or individual interested email us.
